Jessica Pearl

Jessica Pearl is a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist
based in Miami, Florida.

Professional Background

Jessica has a background in clinical nutrition, as she spent the early part of her career providing medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for individuals with diabetes, obesity, heart disease, endocrine disorders, and gastrointestinal illness, among others.

​

Since then she has been working in private practice, providing individual and group counseling, training services, and corporate wellness programming. Most recently she has been contracted to provide nutrition education in the addiction recovery, law enforcement, and indigenous population groups. 

​

Jessica is a contributor to publications including Men's Fitness, Gluten-Free Living, Performance Condition, and textbook Nutrition Assessment: Clinical and Research Applications.

Originally inspired to become a Registered Dietitian after developing multiple food intolerances during her freshman year of college —

 

Jessica entered into a grueling effort of trial and error to identify what those specific foods were. Noticing a need for increased resources and professionals in this field, Jessica chose to become one herself.

​

While studying at the University of Michigan, Jessica gained her first exposure to the exciting world of competitive sports, pursued an internship with the team sports nutritionist, and has been working with the athletic population ever since.

​

Jessica has integrated her personal and professional experiences and gained credentialing in the sports and food sensitivity fields to become a highly specialized nutrition and exercise professional. She supports individuals in managing inflammatory conditions, fueling athletic performance, and improving and maintaining overall wellness.

Jessica's Credentials

Registered Dietitian (RD)

Jessica is licensed as an expert in food and nutrition science through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Completion of dietetic academic and internship program and passage of RD exam requirements met.

Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN)

Jessica is licensed and trained in the science of nutrition and dietetics (food science) and has met the certification requirements of New York State.

Board Certified    Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD)      

Jessica is board certified through the CDR to provide nutrition counseling to active individuals including recreational athletes and collegiate and professional athletic teams.

Certified Strength & 
Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)   

CSCS is the most advanced training credential, qualifying the practitioner to condition an elite or professional athletic population. Maintained through National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  

Certified LEAP  
Therapist (CLT)

Jessica is an expert in food sensitivities/ intolerances/allergies and has the ability to test for food sensitivities and plan elimination/reintroduction diets for the management a multitude of systemic and inflammatory reactions.  

CPR/AED

Jessica is trained to perform life-saving CPR and AED procedures on adults, children, and babies. Recertification every two years through the America Red Cross.

Jessica's Philosophy

Jessica believes that individualized treatment is paramount in the health industry. She works closely with each client to assess their nutrition and physical activity needs, establish goals, and create a specialized plan tailored exclusively for them. 

Ongoing motivation and support are provided to keep clients on track and help them achieve success.
